After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English and Politics from Lake Forest College, Darren Malek went on to DePaul University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1999. While attending DePaul, he pursued an internship with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. He also seized an opportunity to serve as a judicial extern for Judge Erwin I. Katz in the United States Bankruptcy Court, and worked as a paralegal for JPMorgan Chase throughout most of his law school career.
Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, Darren Malek began work with Dickinson Wright PLLC, where as a young attorney he felt privileged to work with some of the finest banking lawyers in Michigan. His time with Dickinson Wright prepared Darren Malek for a position with Varnum LLP, where he remained for six years.
